The Internal Spark
Sparked, Internal spark, created by Cat Huynh.
Maybe it’s getting your hair done, a new skill, experience, friends, food, a business, something that brings excitement, curiosity, energy, and alignment, is what I call the “Spark”.
Mapped by our own upbringing, values, and journeys we each hold have an internal spark that should followed in this life.

Growing up, each kid had a interest or hobby they liked most, but as we get older, we listen less and less to that curiosity and passion. It wasn’t until 2023, when I started listening to that inner calling again, my first time braiding hair. A skill that seems so trivial, using my hands to weaving hair back and forth. However, while I was in college, where I sat in front of a computer for hours on end, learning this new skill excited me. Braiding hair reminded me of my younger self, the one that was creative, loved painting, baking, DIY projects, and anything that involved using her hands to create.
I didn’t know why, but while in college, I wanted to follow the “spark” I felt from braiding. I spent any free time learning, practicing, and sharing my progress. It felt an inner calling to keep exploring this new skill, thank goodness I did. It eventually led me to full-time entrepreneurship. I had my own private studio, working with brands, NFL athletes as clientele, and I learned more about myself and the world than any class or job I ever had. Braiding is a spark that led me in many ways and has helped me grow beyond just the skill. It was my vehicle to becoming a full-time entrepreneur. This is why “Internal Spark” was built. I want to inspire and help others with their own spark, a skill, a curiosity that they want to invest more into. Starting with Spark Workshops, and teaching hair braiding, the skill that changed my life.
We do not have just one spark, but many. All make us who we are, but rarely do we listen to this feeling. Why? It was ignited for a reason, keep that Internal Spark growing and lit. This is my ultimate goal!
